JOB SCOPE
Highly specialized and skilled position in the technical / operational aspects of open hole & cased hole completion equipment, applications and installations. Technical evaluation of new and existing products and all procedures related to the application, installation & implementation of those products.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage a small team of Area-based Applications Engineers in that Area.
Manage the second year Field Applications Engineer from the Lower Completions GBU Graduate Trainee Program assigned to the Area.
Ensure full Completions Applications Engineering support for Management, Sales, Operations, and Inventory Control, in the Area.
Ensure a fully professional exercise of the Engineering judgment by Area Applications Engineers including, but not limited to, review of Casing Design, generation of Tube Movement/Packer Force analyses, Torque and Drag calculation etc.
Supervise the selection of appropriate Weatherford products for customer applications.
Supervise the generation of operational procedures and best practices for deployment of Weatherford Completion products, and coordinate same with other Weatherford product and service lines.
Implement and execute a strict peer review and approval process of all documentation generated by the Field Applications Engineers.
Supervise the continuing education of Area Applications Engineers.
Provide local training on specific Lower Completions products and techniques to Sales and Operations in the Area as required.
Cooperate and coordinate with other Weatherford Product and Service lines for the integrated provision of multiple services to customers to mutual advantage.
Provide systematic communication with the Product Line Managers in the Lower Completions GBU, and with the Completions Global and US Training Managers.
Be proactive in seeking out and communicating potential improvements to Weatherford products and processes.
Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Good written and oral communication skills
Excellent computer skills
Extensive knowledge of Upper and Lower completion equipment and techniques
Proven innovator
Exhibit leadership and can make effective, reliable and appropriate decisions and judgments without supervision or assistance
Ability to work well with all levels of personnel
Willingness to travel
Engineering degree to Bachelor's level.
At least 5 years of direct relevant field experience - application & installation of lower completions equipment in multi-stage fracturing environments.
The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.

Prior management experience
