Job Description:
Position: Electrical Design Engineer Location: London Duties and Responsibilities: ?Carries out the design of electrical alterations, additions and modifications to offshore production facilities. ?Ensures all design is to NORSOK standards and codes. ?Reviews drawings, specifications and other documents. ?Performs technical evaluation of materials including technical clarification to bidders through Procurement Department. ?Scope definition during procurement and construction and pre-commissioning phases of the projects. ?Assists engineering, construction and pre-commissioning departments during implementation of the projects. ?Participate in pre-commissioning checks on the completed project to ensure that construction is to the approved design. Continue to monitor project from conception through to commissioning. ?Prepares specification and design data sheet for the purchase of electrical equipment's and accessories. ?Liaises with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Health, Safety, Environment and Integrity Divisions to ensure that all electrical work is acceptable and meets Client safety standards and NORSOK codes and practices. Minimum Requirements: ?B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. ?Must be able to demonstrate significant experience of working to NORSOK codes. ?Minimum 5 years' experience in oil and gas operating companies / contractors major oil & gas projects. ?Computer literate, fully proficient in Excel, MS Project, Power Point. ?Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English. ?Would suit London based candidates.
