My client is a global EPC company based in Falkirk, Scotland who are currently looking for a Electrical and Instrument Asset Engineer on a staff basis to work on a number of exciting refinery or Petrochemical projects

The ideal candidate:
- Degree qualified
- Chartered I/E engineer (or in process of gaining chartership).
- Significant previous experience in Operations environment.
- Knowledge of theory and practice of managing equipment reliability systems and processes e.g. asset care.
- Strong understanding of discipline legislative and technology requirements and demonstrated ability to appropriately translate to equipment inspection/maintenance regimes.
- Skilled in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

Education/ Experience
- Engineering Degree in Discipline.
- Chartered Status preferred but not essential.
- Minimum 5 years petrochemical industry.

Technical Skills
- As a professional Engineer demonstrates thorough understanding and application of engineering discipline including knowledge of appropriate engineering standards and application.
- Expert knowledge of Electricity and Work Regulations, Wiring Regulations, DSEAR, ATEX and IEC61508/11 Functional Safety.
- Commercial awareness and contract management.
- Troubleshooting skills, knowledgeable in Root Cause Failure Analysis techniques
- Application I.T. Computer tools.
