An exciting opportunity for a dynamic Business Development Manager with a technical sales and project management background based in our clients Houston, TX office. In this role you will assist in growing this company's Industrial Water business in the region and lead teams to deliver exceptional service to their clients. In this capacity, you will manage projects and collaborate with client development teams with the goal of supporting pursuits and proposals. You will preferably have a network of national clients with a focus on the industrial water sector market. We are looking for a team member who has a proven track record of successfully selling, managing, and executing projects. Our client has a unique and welcoming culture and they are growing. Job Expectations:
  • Identifies and commits to achievable and sustainable goals for growth in alignment with the company's strategic plan.

  • Participates in base business growth, sales and capital planning process for the company.
  • Plans, develops, coordinates, and directs industrial water projects or a project of major scope, with full responsibility for end results.
  • Develops working relationships with individuals outside the organization to assist in identifying new business opportunities and strategic pursuits.
  • Leverages across the company for marketing, project delivery, project teams and other support systems.
  • Ensures quality client services, and clarity of work products and projects while promoting and integrating companywide initiatives and values.
  • Focuses on investment decisions, using capital and resources to the highest competitive advantage.
  • Promotes and supports technical systems and improvements driven by company initiatives.
  • Manages and directs staff members while performing staff evaluations and outlining growth and development goals.
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • B.S. degree in civil, environmental, or chemical engineering required
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience with a focus in industrial wastewater management with broad knowledge refinery and petrochemical, food processing, pulp and paper, and manufacturing wastewater projects
  • Experience in treatability methods a plus
  • Professional registration in Texas desired
  • Strong project management, organizational and technical skills required
Must have a proven record of working with existing clients and delivering those projects successfully, profitably, and to the client's satisfaction
