The Senior Process Engineer is responsible for engineering support for project concept development, process studies, operation support, new business opportunities and new design by performing process analysis, process design, computer modeling and economic analysis. Bilingual Spanish highly preferred.

Primary Job Responsibilities
Will report to the process or mechanical lead engineer or project manager for assignments; may occasionally lead efforts of work in specific discipline for a total effort. Will be responsible for independently applying advanced process and mechanical engineering techniques and analysis to assigned projects. Will be responsible for investigating problem or new build solutions, performing process simulations using HYSYS, performing all aspects of design engineering and analysis for custom equipment (revisions, retrofits, ground-up designs), including component selection, mechanical analysis and development of bills of materials, under minimal engineering supervision. Prepare Process Flow Diagrams, Material Balances, P&ID's. Size & design pressure safety valves and relief systems. Will be called upon to provide technical guidance to less experienced drafting and engineering personnel. Must have the ability to communicate with vendors, clients and other UPI employees.
Training and Experience
10+ years experience in the process simulation, engineering & design of production equipment such as pressure vessels, pumps, heat exchangers, etc., and / or related single element systems.
Must be experienced with HYSYS Process Simulation software or other similar software.
Experienced in performing detail equipment and systems calculations, preparing specifications, data sheets, inquiries and technical bid tabs, and performing drawing reviews of mechanical equipment and systems.
Experiences with the engineering design of such equipment for Onshore Oil & Gas Production Facilities an absolute requirement.
Registered PE in Texas or capable of being registered.
Must be computer literate, at a minimum proficiency in MS Word & Excel.
Bilingual Spanish highly preferred
