Overview:
The CCS ensures, under the direction and coordination by the Construction Discipline Leader, the supervision of the construction activities under the responsibility of the assigned department, either performed in direct hiring or by a third party contractor(s), and ensures compliance with times and costs and quality, health, safety and environmental protection requirements.
Responsibilities:
· Checking the personnel and equipment belonging to the contractor(s)
· Verifying the adequacy regarding capability and amount respect the front of work availability and time schedule,
· Promoting any actions required to achieve objectives;
· Checking that the construction works are carried out by the subcontractor on the basis of the last updated drawing and documentation;
· Ensuring the coordination, liaising with other functions of the project, of the construction works between subcontractors.
· Supporting the Construction Discipline Leader, in preparing and updating of construction schedules, feasibility reports,
· Liaising with Engineering, Procurement and Planning.
· Ensuring that tests, controls and inspections are carried out in accordance with established schedules;
· Supporting the Quality Department in the determination and implementation participating in determining corrective actions for resolving cases of nonconformity;
· Verifying and determining the work progress and the accounting submitted by the subcontractors,
· Supporting the Construction Discipline Leader in preparing the Work Progress Report for the final approval of the Construction Director;
· Ensuring, with the support of the Field HSE department, the compliance of the HSE aspect at filed, also through the management of the Permit to Work system;
· Notifying the Construction Discipline Leader the of problems and deviations that cannot be settled directly;
· Assisting the Construction Discipline Leader with problems concerning claims or price revisions submitted by the subcontractor and problems raised or clarifications requested by the third parties.
Qualifications:
· 5-7 years of experience on major petrochemical or refining construction projects
· Extensive civil construction experience (pilings, foundations, roadwork, piers, etc.)
· Candidates local to Corpus Christi strongly preferred
