Job Description :

Hargrave Power is seeking an experienced Project Manager in the field of electrical transmission and substation construction. The project manager will serve as the main point of contact for the customer and will work with directly the field superintendents to meet all project objectives. The role of the project manager is to oversee the project throughout its life cycle.

Experience Required:
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager, preferably in the field of Electrical Transmission Construction.
  • Certification in Project Management and/or University Degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or equivalent field experience in the electrical transmission industry is preferred.
  • Possess general knowledge of electrical transmission line construction.
  • Knowledge of project management techniques and tools.
  • Experience creating and maintain construction schedules in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
  • Experience creating budgets, updating cost reports, and creating invoices.
  • Ability to read construction contracts and identifying / monitoring risk.
  • Proven experience in people management.
  • Experience in working both independently and in team environments.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute task in a high pressure environment.
  • Experience in change and conflict management.
  • Estimating experience is a plus.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage project from beginning to end.
  • Perform unit takeoffs from construction drawings and identify scope of work.
  • Develop project schedules utilizing scheduling software.
  • Create and execute project work plans and make revisions when necessary.
  • Manage day-to-day project correspondence and controls.
  • Manage changes in scope and status of approval for changes.
  • Develop project reports and oversee all project control deliverables.
  • Reviews all project deliverables before they are submitted to the client.
  • Identify and monitor project risk.
  • Create project budgets, cash flow projections, and updated cost reports.
  • Analyze project profitability, revenue, margins, and forecast.
  • Facilitates team and client meetings effectively.
  • Effectively communicate relevant project information to superiors.
  • Resolve and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
  • Communicate project status to team members and stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts with team members.
  • Participate in project presentations with team members.
  • Manage day-to-day client interaction and expectations.
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
  • Conduct project closeout processes.
Work Conditions:
  • Full time position working normal business hours Monday – Friday.
  • Overtime may be required.
  • Work primarily in division / field offices
  • Travel is required.
Certifications Preferred, Not Required:
  • PMP
