Responsibilities:
- Directs, supervises, and coordinates construction activities including safety, HSSE compliance, and productivity on construction project sites
- Coordinates construction scheduling and communication and acts as a liaison to the client and management concerning bids, subcontracting, progress and delays
- Responsible for assisting with estimates, schedules, and cost controls
- Accountable for safety performance of assigned projects
- Investigates incidents, accidents, or delays at construction site(s), to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out
- Requires basic knowledge and understanding of OSHA safe work practices
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
- Inspects and reviews projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes and other regulations
- Responsible for management and oversight of client subcontractors
- Responsible for management of project equipment and materials
- Responsible to manage the project schedule in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines
- Supervises the installation of project equipment and components
- Requires technical knowledge to assist installation discipline superintendents and subcontractors
- Reports directly to Program Manager
Qualifications:
- Requires minimum of 5-10 years of experience in the field of refinery construction and construction management overseeing construction budgets from $ 50K - $5M
- Collaborates with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
- Responsible for preparing/reviewing/submiting project progress tracking reports.
- Develops and implements quality control programs.
- Ability to deliver results when it comes to delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction site.
- Evaluates construction methods and determine cost-effectiveness of plans.
- Requires basic computer skills including proficiency in MS office programs including MS Project and/or P6.
- Responsible for coordinating project field activities with plant operations and maintenance.
- Experience with construction in Petro Chemical industry, particularly mechanical, civil and product storage.
