Job Function:
To provide customer-focussed solutions on the use of technical products by providing advice on system performance, calculation of key properties, guidance on compliance matters, and developing high-quality technical proposals and specification support. To lead technical excellence in management of the clients product portfolio though delivering product philosophy and management of regional specific compliance matter and identification of innovation opportunities.
Description of main tasks:
The Regional Technical Manager is responsible for the following tasks:
- Technical solutions for customers
- Product testing and certification
- Product specification management
- Project specification management
- Local technical leadership
- Technical presentations
- New product development
- Training of customers and staff
- Development of technical literature and tools
- Advice on regulations and laws affecting use of the company's products
- Monitor market development
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Person Specification
Professional Education
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Physical Sciences
Experience
- Direct Oil and Gas or Energy industry experience is highly desirable.
Other skills/knowledge
- Knowledge of insulation systems and applications within the oil and gas sector desirable
- Experience in specification-driven sales
- Experience in providing technical support for external & internal customers
- Experience in product development, modification and new product launches
Additional requirements
- Ability to travel
