Job Description:
The Overview Reporting to the VP Procurement, the Fleet Manager will be responsible for fleet operations including acquisition, maintenance, reporting and disposal. You will provide additional support to the procurement team by running request for approval (RFP) and request for quote (RFQ) events, issuing contracts and purchase orders. This role will encompass both fleet management and buyer duties and responsibilities. The position is based in Calgary, AB. The Role Manage fleet requirements: acquisition and disposal of fleet vehicles, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, setting of fleet standards and requirements, registration and insurance requirements and administration of the fleet card program Work with the user groups to identify and execute plans to reduce the overall cost of the fleet program · Identify opportunities to simplify and streamline fleet administration processes Ensure that the fleet policies and procedures comply with all relevant business and HSE regulations and requirements Effectively communicate policies, processes and best practices for fleet operations and administration to the impacted user groups Ensure that fleet operating costs are allocated appropriately and correctly Work with leasing companies to identify and dispose of surplus assets and equipment Build relationships with external vendors Work with external vendors and internal groups to explore and develop new fleet related products and services providers Develop and execute sourcing competitions for required goods and services Issue Purchase Orders and/or contracts for goods and services as required Develop and distribute key performance reporting for fleet operations The Person Advanced knowledge of operations and production equipment Strong knowledge of the fleet maintenance and operations requirements A related diploma or degree considered an asset A firm understanding of control environments and purchasing practices High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook; Access would be considered an asset Excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated leadership, coaching and mentoring skills Excellent organizational and analytical skills Strong negotiation skills Additional Information Centrica Energy is an international business operating in the UK, Netherlands, Norway, Canada and Trinidad and Tobago, delivering a balanced mix of gas and oil production, power generation and energy trading.
