Job Summary
The Occupational Health Administrator provides administration services for the CAN Occupational Health department. These duties include but are not limited to the administration of all related applications, programs and databases required for various OH/HSE purposes.
Relationships
Reports to the Schlumberger Occupational Health Nurse - Canada.
Peers: HSE Subject Matter Experts, Personnel Managers, HSE Managers, Operations Managers, Regional Support Center Staff Area and Segment HSE Managers, EMS HQ Staff
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
  1. Ensures confidentiality of medical information and data.
  2. Maintains an accurate and organized filing system of all medical information in a confidential manner including the archive/retrieval process for terminated employee health records.
  3. Communicates fitness for work status to recruiting team and hiring managers when candidates have been medically cleared for position.
  4. Participates in the development and implementation of Medgate database modules.
  5. Participates in the WCB process by creating Medgate database entries and employee files.
  6. Participates in the Surveillance programs (hearing conservation, respirator fit, and silica programs) by compiling test results and filing them in a confidential manner, providing past test results to vendor when requested, uploading baseline and periodic hearing test results into Medgate for surveillance purposes.
  7. Ensures WCB reporting kits are available to all offices and field locations in Geomarket
  8. Tracks results and compiles accurate reports for various stake holders (D&A testing, Pre-Placement assessments).
  9. Coordinates HVT testing and Follow-Up D&A testing for employee's participating in RTW programs after voluntary disclosures of substance use.
  10. Confirms compliance with D&A testing requirements by sending D&A Compliance Certificates or vendor issued D&A wallet cards to HSE Advisors/Managers.
  11. Completes HSE client qualification forms on request.
  12. Responds to ad hoc OH inquires from SLB employees and vendors.
  13. Assists the Occupational Health Nurse with Administrative Duties as needed.
  14. Ensures timely validation or outsourcing and coding of all invoices in PRT and removes personal identifiers on all medical invoices to ensure confidentiality is protected in PRT system.
  15. Compiles accurate HSE data for various stake holders including sales functions for tenders.
  16. Takes HSE meeting minutes and effectively records and communicates same.
  17. Participates in HSEPRO Training Program
  18. Participates in LPT
Previous Experience and Competencies
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of employee health information
  • Recent experience with records management and filing systems
  • Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Experience working with Medgate would be an asset
  • Basic knowledge of invoicing, trend reporting, etc.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Reliable and accountable for actions

Education
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or a Minimum of a High School Diploma.
