
Applies generally accepted accounting principles and financial analysis in order to prepare monthly journal entries and ensure that expenses are accurately stated and approved financial and statistical reports; Reconciles various accounts monthly, including the assets and liabilities accounts in the general ledger.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assists in preparation of monthly internal management reporting packages on results of operations, which includes variance analysis of consolidated results.
- Manages and reviews accounts receivable cash application and invoicing
- Provides monthly accounting services for Hercules Drilling and other specific assigned entities
- Reviews and assists with monthly account reconciliations
- Reviews accounts payable invoice coding
- Prepares, scans and submits accounting entries
- Performs various quarterly and year-end audit responsibilities
- Assists the segment reporting units with closing issues as necessary
- Develops and maintains job processes and procedures
- Provides assistance, open communication and feedback to teammates and superiors
- Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5 years but less than 10 years of experience
- Some experience with cash management or treasury
- Excellent spreadsheet modeling skills are required
- Computer literacy, including but not limited to Excel and Word
- Oracle General Ledger experience of 2-3 years preferred
- Must possess the ability to work under pressure of mulitiple deadlines
- Willingness to work extra hours when necessary to meet deadline
