Corrpro Canada, Inc. is looking for a Field Technician to join our team in Edmonton, AB.

Corrpro is Canada's, an Aegion Company, largest corrosion engineering, cathodic protection, and corrosion monitoring business for the protection and preservation of infrastructure. Corrpro provides professional corrosion consulting and cathodic protection engineering services to major oil companies, government agencies, municipal water, sewer and gas utilities, universities, and public transportation agencies. Corrpro has complete construction installation services, including crews and equipment to install any type of cathodic protection system for any type of structure.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Team with Senior Technician to work on the installation and removal of internal corrosion coupons
  • Assist with driving duties on the 2 member coupon crew
  • Operate a 3/4 ton truck to carry out related work duties
  • Enter data collection, surveys, reports and time tickets using programs such as MS Excel as needed
  • Adhere to all Corporate Safety Policies
  • Work in the field in all different weather conditions
  • Assist in the lab as needed
  • Interact with internal and external customers in a positive manner and provide excellent customer service
 
Qualifications:
  • Highschool diploma and Class 5 driver's license (Non-GDL) with a reasonable driver's abstract required
  • Position will be home based in Edmonton; however, regular travel is required Monday to Friday of each week
  • Mechanically inclined with previous field work/hands-on experience highly preferred
  • Previous experience operating a 3/4 ton truck a strong asset
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds often throughout the day
  • Must be able to follow GPS and LSD directions
  • Must be able to travel, work overtime, and work in the outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to follow directions and organize time effectively is essential
  • Safety tickets such as H2S Alive, First Aid, WHMIS preferred
  • Able to drive ATVS or snowmobiles an asset
