Basic Function
Provide professional services in a staff capacity in the development of the assigned Department/Division short/long-term business objectives. Develop technical reports, database, cost control plans, and other comprehensive analytics and measures.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Provide support to operations or services departments
• Prepare technical reports, cost analyses, and development allocation systems to facilitate accounting/financial evaluations of operating plan, as well as, capital and expense budget.
• Perform special technical and financial studies as required
• Serve as Department's liaison to operating/support services organizations
• Develop and manage database; conduct data gathering and researches written standards and specifications which may require incumbent to visit various field site locations
• Receive work assignments and is expected to complete routine tasks, independently within established guidelines
• Support organizations in SAO proponent organizations to exchange information and resolve technical issues
• Correspond externally with contractor representatives, consultants, EPC's, professional organizations, etc.
• Contact internally with Division Heads, other supervisors, and department staff to develop information, review plans, establish accountability, and coordinate ongoing staff efforts.
• Contact with organizations such as Contracting Controllers, Corporate Planning, Human Resources
• Provide financial expertise in the development, preparation, and analysis of capital and expense budgets, accountability reports, five-year business plan, annual Operating Plan, and other major reports as required for the department or administrative area
• Analyze department operating cost and performance reports, and conducts special studies to establish cost performance objectives; maintains supporting documentation of SAO requests for assistance and relates the cost impact to the department budget; identifies opportunities to reduce costs by improving the utilization of resources
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Math/Statistics, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Financial Management or closely related specialty and one (1) year diversified accounting experience
• May consider candidate with high school diploma who demonstrates the ability to perform the assigned tasks which typically is gained from ten (10) years of diversified business administration experience relative to the specific area of assignment
• Work experience should reflect progressively greater responsibilities
• Must be able to communicate and comprehend accurately, clearly and concisely in English at a level required to perform the job as outlined
• Must know how and when to use a wide variety of statistical and financial analytical tools and have a working knowledge of economics, technology and accounting
• Must possess good work habits, a strong work ethic, and be able to adhere to company work hours, policies, and standard business etiquette
• Must be able to perform a wide variety of statistical, financial, technical, problem analysis and have a working knowledge of economics, accounting, engineering and technology while working under time constraints
