
Overview/SummaryThe Senior Accountant will be responsible for general accounting and compliance functions within United States including maintaining a system of internal controls that will ensure that Statutory Reporting and Compliance are consistent and in compliance with all established financial policies, accounting principles and governmental regulations. Responsibilities include:· Preparing and or reviewing financial accounting analyses and reconciliations · Providing data responses for commercial requests and audits (internal/external) · Preparing and/or reviewing required Government and other regulatory & commercial compliance · Developing and or updating standard costing overhead rates (ex. burden rates) · Partnering with business operations supporting the various financial aspects during the commercial proposal/bid process · Preparing stand-alone financial statements and ensure in compliance with policies and directives, US GAAP and Australian reporting requirements as required · Support ad-hoc or special projects 
Desired Skills: REQUIREMENTS
· BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance (if Finance, has solid understanding and application of Accounting principles); · 5+ years of experience in an accounting position; · Demonstrated knowledge and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. · Demonstrated experience with monthly accounting processes including general ledger accounting close, costing, and reporting. · Demonstrated knowledge of budgeting and cash flow forecasting techniques and financial statement analysis including key trend analysis, project or overhead costing techniques and financial controls. · Strong MS Office Suite computer skills particularly advanced Excel. · Advanced analytical and problem solving skills. Accuracy and attention to detail critical. Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities is critical. · Proven ability to work collaboratively across departmental functions; · Communicates effectively and presents accounting; · Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are critical; · Commitment to customer service and ability to work in a team-oriented environment; · Ability to work overtime as needed; and · Ability to travel occasionally within and outside the United States. .
Preferred Qualifications
· CPA or CMA designation; MBA preferred;
- Experience developing overhead or benefits rates for costing and or regulatory compliance.
· Experience in an accounting role in a project-based or services-based corporate environment, (similar to the WorleyParsons project based business model).
- Related Engineering industry experience.
- Experience with Oracle and Hyperion/Planning and HFM.
