Expro Meters is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with a background in the design and use of electronic instrumentation. Experience in safety and EMC certification of electronic products is required, with hazardous area product certification a plus. Specific instrumentation types this position will be responsible for include flow, pressure, temperature, density, watercut and data acquisition systems. Responsibilities will include the electronics design and support of the company's instrumentation products, as well as creation of user's manuals and technical documentation. This person will also be responsible for certification of Expro Meters products (CE, EMC, ATEX, etc) and for cable/gland/accessory selection to meet customer requirements.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for all aspects of Electronics design and support for Expro Meters products.
  • Responsible for certification activities, such as ordinary location safety, hazardous area and EMC, for Expro Meters products. Create and maintain certification documentation and records.
  • Define functional requirements and performance specifications for Expro Meters products.
  • Work with operations and customers to define and source cabling, glands, junction boxes, etc for field applications.
  • Technical resource for configuration, programming and documentation of 3 rd party instrumentation, including field and customer technical support, writing of users manuals and technical bulletins, and customization to meet internal and customer requirements.
  • Perform internal certification audits and serve as responsible individual for external certification audits.

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering with 5+ years Electrical Engineering experience. Hazardous area and instrumentation design experience a plus.
