The work is in support of Saudi Aramco's offshore existing field development program. A typical year's work will result in over USD 1billion worth of capital investment and in excess of 1,000,000 man hours of engineering and construction support.The scope of the work covered is construction bid package preparation, material take-off and requisitioning and leading to complete construction detail engineering design and drawings.

Specific Accountabilities
• Develop conceptual design and scope work
• Prepare estimate for design activities and deliverables
• Prepare design supporting calculations for electrical systems
• Prepare specification for electrical equipment and materials and assist procurement
• Conduct technical evaluations of vendor bids and select the vendor.
• Review and approve vendor drawings and documentations in compliance with applicable standards.
• Be conversant with materials sourcing and identification in accordance with Saudi Aramco standard, North American (ANSI) or IEC standards.
• Develop design supporting calculations (Conductor, Power Supply, Battery, Chargers, ICCP)
• Provide Technical Support to Junior Engineers
• Design Check, write project Scope of Work
• Insure coordination with other disciplines.
• Provide Technical Support during project execution

Desired Skills:

Essential Skills/Experience
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience and Familiar with Industrial Power system Design, selection and validation of electrical equipment.
  • Working knowledge of International and Industry Standards, Codes of Practice and Guidelines for electrical equipment.
  • Ability to preparing Electrical Area Classification drawings in accordance with API Standard.
  • Familiar with the requirement of electrical installation in classified areas and in harsh environment.
  • Competent in Power System Analysis utilizing computer software, such as ETAP.
  • Should have SPEL experience
  • Familiar with Electrical materials and sourcing
  • Competent in making technical decision and selecting alternatives
  • Ability to cope up with the scope change with minimum impact for the Client
  • Experienced with Client interface
  • Professional/Chartered Engineer or equivalent
  • Good team player, but also be able to act independently when required
  • Strong interpersonal relationship and communication skill
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Knowledge of Saudi Aramco Standard and experience in Saudi Aramco Projects is a plus.
  • Previous Offshore related project experience
