
The basic duties of the Sr. Financial Analyst shall be to prepare and manage various financial reporting, cost control, and statistical analysis for the company. Additionally, the Sr. Financial Analyst shall maintain accurate and adequate accounting records according to policies and procedures and perform financial audit and reconciliation procedures as assigned.
• Complete the monthly reporting package • Provide accurate and timely financial packages to the management team • Perform independent research & interpret data as it adds value to commercial decision making • Assist with the annual budget process and quarterly reforecasts • Perform account recording, research, reconciliation, and analysis of multiple accounts • Review weekly payroll and project charges to ensure proper coding is applied • Autonomously respond to corporate requests on an ad-hoc basis • Carry out special accounting projects that may require expedited deliverable dates • Comply with federal, state, and local legal and tax requirements and company policies and procedures • Performs financial modeling for new business development • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal customers • Proactively provide insight into the performance of the business • Actively work on continuous improvement of current and new processes as well as improved managerial reporting to support business decision making • Assist with cash flow submissions and total cash management • Support the accounting manager during month-end close and reporting activities. • Develop cost standards for material, labor and overhead • Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
EXPERIENCE • 5-10 years performing responsibilities above for an Oil & Gas company (Offshore experience a plus) • Intricate understanding of GAAP & IFRS • Experience with international accounting • Strong financial modeling experience • M&A experience a plus; assist with integrating recently acquired companies • Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment a plus.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Ability to manage competing priorities • Has a strong balance of accounting and finance skills • Understand the concept of internal and external customer satisfaction • Ability to work collegially with all company personnel and as part of a cross-functional team whether as the leader or participant • Ability to identify problems or potential problems and independently develop and implement solutions
